Preamble
The Code of Ethics for Calgary Board of Education Staff Association gives guidance for decision-making, self-evaluation and reflection regarding ethical practice.
Declaration
Being mindful that all positions within the Calgary Board of Education are integral to furthering individual student development through effective education
- I will act in a conscientious, diligent and efficient manner.
- I will protect the confidentiality of all professionally-acquired information.
- I will fulfill my obligations and responsibilities with integrity.
- I will work to establish an atmosphere in which each person feels safe, valued and respected.
- I will strive to achieve personal and professional excellence in the workplace.
- I will address conflict as quickly and as close to the source as possible.
- I will, by example, promote harmonious relationships.
- I will respect and value the knowledge and skills others bring to the team.
- I will work toward the academic, physical and emotional well-being of the student and all others within the educational community.
